The Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro celebrates its 65th anniversary, and to honour the institution, ArtRio organised a parallel exhibition to the fair at Pier Mauá. Curated by Luiz Camillo Osorio and Martha Master, the exhibition by the Guanabara Bay dialogues with the Affonso Eduardo Reidy's architecture and Burle Marx's landscape projects. Participating artists include José Bechara, Raul Mourão, Elisa Bracher, Humberto Costa Barros, Opavivará, and Ana Holk, as well as artworks by Amilcar de Castro, Franz Weissmann, and Ângelo Venosa that are already part of the museum?s collection. The exhibition was based on galleries from Rio de Janeiro and focused on artists that have already worked with large-scale public oeuvres.
