Marcone Moreira

From Jul 02 to Aug 29 2007

Marcone Moreira innovates, bringing to gallery photographs that track record of the urban interventions practiced in Belo Horizonte, objects in wood from the remains of boats and trucks, and drawings on cardboard.

Marcone, who produces installations, objects, prints, drawings, and paintings, now turns to photography because of the need to move around environments, thus enabling experiences, always lonely, to be shared. The artist appropriates time and cuts it his own way, as well as the materials. The compositions on wood refer to the architecture of stilt, common constructions in Pará. His work, construction plans and junctions of materials and colours, blends the elegance of constructive art with the rudeness of discarded materials.
