Cássio Vasconcellos, who began his photographic research in the early 1980s, presents a selection of original photographs and prints on Lumijet Classic paper, a product of his view of urban territories at night.
The research, which started in São Paulo, has been expanded to other major world cities such as Dallas, Paris, New York and Tokyo, originating the Noturnos series, presenting these exciting and delicate fragments of urban landscapes captured with a Polaroid SX -70 camera, a classic in photography.
According to Nelson Brissac, "a polaroid picture makes the city, steeped in gloom, emerge dazzling. But the extraordinary plasticity of the intensely coloured urban landscapes is balanced by the texture provided by the paper."
